Delta band
0.5 to 4 Hz Delta
Delta is the dominant band of deep, slow-wave sleep. Auditory stimulation timed to slow oscillations has been shown to enhance them in controlled studies.
What the evidence says
The link between slow-wave activity and restorative sleep is well established, and closed-loop acoustic stimulation of slow oscillations has measurable effects in the lab.
A passive delta binaural beat is not the same as the closed-loop stimulation used in those studies. We frame delta sessions as a calm bed for winding down, not a sleep prescription.
How we measure it
Carrier 200 Hz with a small delta differential (for example 202.5 Hz right for 2.5 Hz). Level published at around minus 22 dB, subtle for overnight use.
