Theta band
6 Hz Theta
Theta activity sits between wakefulness and sleep and is associated with deep relaxation and the drowsy, pre-sleep state. Our Reset Series centres on a 6 Hz theta differential.
What the evidence says
Theta binaural beats are studied for relaxation and anxiety, but results across trials are mixed and effect sizes are modest.
There is no strong evidence that a specific 6 Hz tone resets anything on its own. We use it as a slow, low-arousal bed for a recovery break.
How we measure it
Carrier 200 Hz, right 206 Hz for a 6 Hz differential. Spectral profile kept warm and mid-forward so it stays audible on small speakers.
